¿What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a type of mind-body therapy that, through hypnosis, accesses a state of deep relaxation, tapping into the subconscious mind and facilitating positive changes in a person's thoughts, sensations, emotions, and behaviors. A hypnotherapist guides the patient toward this state of focused attention to help them achieve therapeutic goals related to self-empowerment by understanding the origins of their limiting patterns, as well as stress reduction, pain management, addiction treatment, improving self-esteem, and addressing other health conditions.

¿What does a session consist of?

A hypnotherapy session involves guiding the patient into a state of focused concentration and deep relaxation (trance) through suggestions and metaphors. In this state, the person is fully conscious but more open to suggestions for making positive changes in their perceptions, emotions, or behaviors. The therapist uses this state to help access the patient's inner resources, the subconscious mind, and thus facilitate the treatment of specific problems.

1.    Induction: The Hypnotherapist guides the patient into a state of deep relaxation using a calm voice and soft, powerful words.

2.   Hypnotic trance: It is known as a state of deep concentration and focused attention, where the mind relaxes, thus allowing the relaxation of the entire body, this generates greater receptivity to suggestions.

3. Therapeutic suggestions: Once in trance, the Hypnotherapist offers direct suggestions to the Subconscious mind to achieve the desired transformations, such as reducing pain, managing anxiety, or modifying unhealthy habits.

Hypnotic Deepeners

A hypnotic deepener is a technique or method used in hypnosis to bring a person from a light trance state to a deeper, more receptive state.

Purpose of Deepening: While results can be achieved in a light trance, deepening is considered beneficial for several reasons:

Greater effectiveness: A deep trance can produce more potent effects, such as intense analgesia for pain control.

Deeper experience: A person in a deep trance often has a more compelling and transformative experience.

Access to the Subconscious: A deeper state of trance allows the subject's subconscious mind, which houses emotions, sensations, and memories, to become more accessible for therapeutic work.
